Inaugurated by Video conferencing by Dr. Harsh Vardhan. It will provide forecast for important tourist places like Nubra, Changthang, Pangong Lake, Zaskar, Drass, Dha-Baima (Arakan Valley), Khalsi among others. Need: Ladakh region having lofty mountains with high slopes, no vegetation, face various natural hazards like Cloud Burst of 2010, Avalanche, Flash Floods, Glacial Lake Outbursts etc. source: pib
